SHANGHAI and LAGUNA HILLS, CA-Aug. 21, 2021-Wallaby Medical, a medical technology company focusing on developing and commercializing products to prevent and treat stroke, announced that the Avenir^® Coil System, a product independently developed by Wallaby Medical, was recently approved by the China National Medical Products Administration (NMPA). Avenir^® Coil System is used for intravascular embolization of intracranial aneurysms and other neurovascular malformations (such as arteriovenous malformations and arteriovenous fistulas), as well as arterial and venous embolization of peripheral blood vessels.

According to the "Health Statistics Yearbook 2020", neurovascular disease mortality ranks No.3 among the main disease mortality in China, of which accounting for up to 20.61% of the total count.
