OCIN 2021 was Successfully Held

OCIN and Neuro-intervention grow together, reflecting not only the advancement of technology, but also the solidification of friendship

OCIN and Neuro-intervention progress and grow together

In the world of the brave sailor

There is always a sky full of stars lit the lights of hope.

On October 24, 2021, the Oriental Conference of Interventional Neuroradiology and the Annual Academic Conference of the Stroke Specialist Branch of Shanghai Medical Association (OCIN2021) came to an end.

This year, OCIN held a joint forum with WLNC, ESMINT, SNIS, KSIN and JSNET, the five top international academic organizations in the field of cerebrovascular disease, to gather with colleagues from all over the world in the cloud and enjoy the feast together, spreading the fruitful results of Chinese cerebrovascular disease treatment to the world and further realizing the full dialogue between international vision and Chinese experience.

With more than 100 forums, 8 global centers, 36 live surgeries, and more than 1 million people meeting in the cloud, China touched the world's frontier, and at the same time, the world felt the pulse of China.

Prof. Jianmin Liu, chairman of the congress and director of the Cerebrovascular Disease Center of the First Affiliated Hospital of Naval Military Medical University, pointed out that OCIN has demonstrated to international colleagues the rapid development of China's neurointerventional industry, with new ideas, new knowledge and new evidence emerging, which has won the world's respect while benefiting patients.

Show the World Standard, Witness the Trend of the Times

Displaying the world's best technology, best method and best equipment is the constant theme of OCIN's development.

Since 2014, OCIN and WLNC have jointly organized the event, providing an organizational guarantee to showcase the world's highest standards. Prof. Pedro LyIyk from Argentina, Prof. Isil Saatci, Prof. Civan Islak and Prof. Osman Kizilkilic from Turkey; Professor Charbel Mounayer, Professor Aymeric Rouchaud, Professor Susan Saleme and other experts with rich experience in the field of neurointerventional intervention from France successively presented a number of surgical demonstrations of intracavascular treatment of cerebral aneurysms and AVM with the support of various advanced instruments and new materials. We can also clearly feel that the interventional treatment of aneurysms has officially entered the era of vascular remodeling from the era of embolization in the frontier field of the world.

At this year's WLNC&OCIN forum, Professor Adnan Siddiqui from the United States explained a case of minimally invasive shunt surgery for hydrocephalus. Intervention of hydrocephalus through endovascular therapy is not only an innovation of treatment methods and ideas, but also a subversive inspiration for neurointerventional physicians attending the conference. This operation not only opens a window for the treatment of hydrocephalus, but also speaks with facts, which strongly proves that interventional treatment from giant invasive to minimally invasive will become the main means of diagnosis and treatment of cerebrovascular diseases in the future.

Beyond Academic Exchanges, Promote the Growth of Friendship

OCIN and Neuro-intervention grow together, reflecting not only the progress of technology, but also the conglomeration of friendship.

On the afternoon of October 21st, at. In the Mingzhu Hall of the Shanghai International Convention Center, more than 200 students who had studied in Changhai for further education and master's degree gathered for the first OCIN REUNION Day.

In the report, the message was titled "20 years of reunion, welcome home! ". Professor Xu Yi said, "All brothers and sisters who have come to OCIN, no matter which class or period they are in, whether they are now directors or in other jobs, you are all outstanding graduates of OCIN! We are your eternal backing! "

Plain language, reflects that "we are all family". In the past 20 years, these young talents who have studied in Changhai for further study and graduate school have been working hard and innovating in their respective positions. Many of them have become the authoritative experts in neurointerventional intervention in their respective regions and even in the whole country.

At OCIN2021, the mascot - Xiaoxin officially met everyone. Although Xiao Xin is very cute, it is a male lion. Napoleon said, "China is a sleeping lion, and when it wakes up, it will shake the world!" Today, OCIN expresses such a dream:

"Together we make China's Neuro-intervention grow into a lion standing in the East!"
